General Ogunbos has recently learned that his son, Raymond, is not his biological child after 22 years. This revelation came to light when Raymond’s biological mother, Helmina, confessed in the presence of Ogunbos’s family elders.
Helmina disclosed that Raymond’s real father is the next-door neighbor of her father in Port Harcourt, hailing from Nembe in Bayelsa State. She admitted to previously being impregnated by Paul Eris, but she terminated the pregnancy. However, when she became pregnant again by her father’s neighbor, she falsely claimed to Paul that the abortion had failed.
When Paul declined responsibility for the pregnancy, she gave birth to Raymond and abandoned him with Ogunbos’s relatives in Onyoma community when he was just 11 months old. Ogunbos, in a Facebook post, expressed his pain over the situation, emphasizing that he cannot continue to treat Raymond as his own child. Despite providing Raymond with love and care for 22 years, Ogunbos insists that Raymond should be returned to his biological father.
He asserts that silence about the situation is more harmful than the pain of acknowledging the truth. Ogunbos concludes by urging others to accept that Raymond is no longer his son and to move forward.
