In a fiery tirade, Yoruba nation activist Sunday Adeyemo, famously known as Sunday Igboho, has leveled damning accusations against former President Muhammadu Buhari, alleging his involvement in the deaths of his mother, sibling, and friend. Igboho made these claims during a visit to the palace of the monarch of Igboho town in Oyo State, where he asserted that Buhari also attempted to assassinate him. READ THE FULL ARTICLE HERE
According to Igboho, Buhari deployed operatives of the Department of State Services (DSS) and soldiers to carry out the heinous act of assassination within the confines of his home. Speaking passionately in Yoruba, Igboho urged Nigerians from the South-West region to unite and liberate the region from the grip of armed Fulani herders.
“Buhari caused problems in my life; he killed my sibling, he killed my friend, and he also killed my mother,” Igboho declared, adding a chilling warning, “He’ll die mysteriously with his children. Buhari is Fulani; it’s we Yoruba people who should be careful.”
Further venting his grievances, Igboho accused Buhari of unleashing soldiers and DSS operatives to arrest him in his residence, all because he championed the cause of Yoruba freedom from perceived Fulani dominance.
“Fulanis can’t stop our fathers and mothers from going to their farms. But I’m back with the power of God and authority, not that of man,” Igboho asserted defiantly.

Igboho’s allegations come amidst his turbulent history with security forces. On July 1, 2021, he narrowly escaped a deadly raid on his Ibadan residence by DSS operatives. Subsequently, he was apprehended in Benin Republic while en route to Germany on July 19, along with his wife, Ropo. Although released in October 2023, Igboho remains undeterred in his quest for justice and Yoruba emancipation.
His return to Nigeria, just ahead of his mother’s burial in the Saki area of Oyo State, marks another chapter in his relentless pursuit of justice and freedom for his people.
