An associate of Ahmad Isah, famously known as the “Ordinary President,” has debunked circulating rumours on social media claiming the respected human rights activist has been arrested and imprisoned.

Labeling the reports as “false, misleading, and entirely baseless,” the associate — who has collaborated with Isah for over 16 years — assured that the Brekete Family host is alive, well, and simply taking a much-needed break.

“For 16 years, Ahmad Isah has relentlessly fought for the oppressed, marginalized, and voiceless, hardly pausing except during times of personal loss or violence,” the associate said.

According to Zagazola Makama, the associate clarified that Isah has not been arrested or detained, but instead voluntarily withdrew from public engagements temporarily to rest and recharge.

“He would be up at 4 a.m., working tirelessly while others slept, championing the cause of justice. From early morning broadcasts to late-night interventions, his dedication has been unwavering. Even the strongest warriors need time to heal and regain strength,” he added.

The associate urged Nigerians to disregard the misinformation and instead send prayers and positive wishes to the “Ordinary President” during his period of recuperation.

“Ahmad Isah is not missing. He is not broken. He is not defeated. He is only resting, preparing to return stronger to continue the fight against injustice,” the statement emphasized.

He further advised media outlets and the public to verify facts before spreading information, especially about individuals committed to public service.
