Hisbah Issues Wanted Notice For Suspended Commissioner Caught With Married WomanThe Kano State Hisbah Corps has declared Auwal Danladi Sankara, the suspended Jigawa State Commissioner for Special Duties, wanted for failing to respond to an invitation regarding allegations of an affair with a married woman. Sheikh Aminu Ibrahim Daurawa, the Commander-General of the Hisbah Corps, announced this at a press briefing on Monday evening.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶

Daurawa stated that the commission had awaited Sankara’s appearance for several hours, but he failed to show, leading to the decision to declare him wanted. Despite the serious accusations, Sankara has vehemently denied the claims and threatened legal action against the Hisbah Corps for what he calls baseless allegations, asserting that he has acted within the law and views the accusations as a deliberate attempt to damage his reputation.

Sankara was previously released on administrative bail, but his absence from the scheduled meeting prompted Daurawa to instruct his officers to actively search for him. Daurawa explained that the Hisbah’s role is to facilitate reconciliation, and if that fails, they may pursue legal action. He mentioned that Nasiru Bulama has accused Sankara of having an affair with his wife, and they had arranged a reconciliation meeting that Sankara did not attend.

Bulama alleged that Sankara is attempting to obtain a restraining order from a High Court to prevent his arrest. He has called upon the Kano state government and the Emir of Kano, Alhaji Muhammadu Sanusi, for intervention to ensure justice is served.

Sankara’s troubles began when news broke of his alleged involvement with Tasleem Baba Nabegu, a married woman with two children. Abba Sufi, a senior official of the Hisbah, confirmed that they had previously arrested Sankara in connection with illicit activities, stating, “We were tracking him based on reports received against him.” Bulama had filed complaints with the Kano State Police Command, the Department of State Services (DSS), and the Hisbah Board regarding Sankara’s alleged involvement in illicit sexual activities and operating drug centers disguised as hotels.
