Hypocrite! Wike’s Aide Tears Into Sowore, Says He Trusts No One But Himself

Lere Olayinka, Senior Special Assistant on Public Communications and Social Media to the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has taken a swipe at former presidential candidate Omoyele Sowore, describing him as a “dictator in a militocracy.”

Olayinka, in a post shared on social media Friday, accused Sowore of double standards, alleging that while he frequently criticizes others, he fails to live by the same principles he preaches.

He specifically faulted Sowore for branding President Bola Tinubu a criminal, arguing that the activist cannot tolerate the same level of criticism he directs at others.

According to Olayinka:

• “People shouting democracy everywhere—he is the party chairman, he is the presidential candidate, he is everything. A dictator in militocracy. Imagine if President Tinubu were also APC chairman, Sowore would never stop ranting.”

• He further claimed that Sowore has monopolized leadership of the African Action Congress (AAC) since its creation in 2018, serving as both chairman and presidential candidate in the 2019 and 2023 elections.

• Olayinka added that Sowore only trusts himself, holding multiple roles within the party, and dismissed him as a “rice and beans cashtivist” who preaches democracy but refuses to practice it.

Mocking Sowore’s electoral performance, Olayinka noted that with “just 14,603 votes,” he still aspires to occupy the positions of president, vice president, senate president, speaker, and even chief justice of Nigeria.
