The conflict was ignited by Governor Fubura’s directive to the Nigerian military to prevent Dokubo’s group from safeguarding a federal road linked to Rivers State.

Additionally, Dokubo made a controversial claim that Fubura’s election was rigged by his godfather, Nyesom Wike, a prominent political figure in Rivers State.

The video has gone viral, triggering widespread reactions from Nigerians. A significant number of citizens are urging President Tinubu to take swift action to curtail Dokubo’s activities. The consensus is that unchecked, the ex-militant leader could potentially destabilize the peace in parts of the country.

Deji Adeyanju while tweeting, wrote “A bloody criminal threatening Governor Sim. There was a nation. Federal Republic of criminality, Welldone.”

An Instagram user identified as John, wrote “I’m convinced Nnamdi Kanu is where he is because he didn’t have the blessings of the Nigerian government. What is the difference between this man and Kanu? Government approval.”
