The level of desperation displayed by Asue Ighodalo in his quest for election victory is unprecedented. It seems there is nothing he won’t do to achieve his goal, including the most unthinkable tactics.

Ighodalo’s approach to politics appears to have no bounds, as evidenced by his recent actions involving the graveyards of notable Edo figures. His campaign strategy has shockingly included visits to the resting places of revered individuals such as Ambrose Alli, Raymond Dokpesi, and Chief Tony Annenih. The list of graveyards he plans to visit seems endless.

Consider Ambrose Alli: There is no record of Ighodalo ever engaging with Alli’s family or paying a visit after the former Governor of Bendel State’s death. Despite being an Esan man, he had no prior connection to the Alli family and had to be led to the late Governor’s home recently—clearly a move timed to coincide with the election.

Similarly, during the passing of Raymond Dokpesi, a prominent Edo son, Ighodalo failed to extend any condolences or attend the well-attended burial. His absence was conspicuous, and there was no sign of a gesture from him in memory of Dokpesi.

Moreover, there is no photographic or video evidence of Ighodalo visiting the home of the late Chief Tony Annenih to offer condolences.
