According to a statement issued on Friday by Muyiwa Adejobi, the Police Public Relations Officer, the new appointments include AIG Suleiman M. Yusuf as AIG of Zone 9 in Umuahia, AIG Ahmed Ammani as AIG of Zone 1 in Kano, AIG Zachariah Fera as AIG of Zone 4 in Makurdi, and AIG Augustina N. Ogbodo as the AIG for the FCID Annex in Lagos.

These postings follow the recent retirements of several senior AIGs, as well as the promotion of the former AIG of Zone 1, DIG Ari Muhammed Ali, who has been appointed the Deputy Inspector-General (DIG) of Operations at the Force Headquarters in Abuja.

In the statement, the IGP urged the newly posted AIGs to provide strong leadership, ensuring strict supervision of their zones and remaining diligent in the discharge of their duties. He also emphasized the importance of adhering to police reform initiatives, upholding professional ethics, and promoting peak professionalism among officers. The IGP further called on the officers to combat misconduct and contribute to the advancement of the Nigeria Police Force and the nation as a whole.
