IGP Egbetokun Shakes Up Police Force, Deploys New Deputy Inspector-General!

The announcement was made on Friday through a statement issued by the Force Public Relations Officer, CSP Benjamin Hundeyin.

According to Hundeyin, the new posting aligns with the IGP’s ongoing efforts to reposition the Nigeria Police Force for improved efficiency and effectiveness in carrying out its constitutional duties.

IGP Egbetokun, while congratulating Dankwara on his elevation, expressed confidence that his extensive experience will further strengthen the administrative architecture of the Force.

The statement further noted: “DIG Dankwara takes over from DIG Sahabo Abubakar Yahaya, who recently retired after more than 30 years of distinguished and meritorious service.

“Before his promotion, DIG Dankwara served as the Assistant Inspector-General of Police in charge of the Force Criminal Investigation Department (FCID), Abuja, where he displayed exemplary leadership, professionalism, and commitment to duty.

“The Nigeria Police Force remains steadfast in its mission to protect lives and property through strategic leadership appointments and a continued drive for operational excellence.”
