Amadi expressed concern that these individuals are undermining the government’s efforts to deliver quality education. “The activities of these criminals have transformed school premises into unsafe zones, making the environment deplorable. They vandalize facilities, defecate on grounds, smoke illegal substances, and turn classrooms and offices into shelters at night, leaving behind litter and drug paraphernalia,” he stated.
He also noted that these area boys threaten the safety of teachers and students who attempt to confront them.
After extensive discussion, the House resolved to urge the governor to direct the education commissioner to collaborate with relevant agencies to enhance security in schools, both during and after school hours, to curb the activities of these miscreants.
