A video circulated on social media over the weekend showed one of the patrol officers taking money from a bus driver. In response, the command’s spokesperson, ASP Henry Okoye, confirmed that the state commissioner of police ordered the arrest of the involved officers.
In a statement issued on October 17, Okoye announced that the trial has begun for those officers featured in the viral video, specifically naming Inspector Ibrahim Nainna, Inspector Unaka Maxvirgin, Inspector Miller Ibinitta, and Sergeant Antony Alozie.
Okoye stated that the outcomes of the proceedings will be communicated in due course.
