Isabell Idibia Breaks Silence On Annie’s Close Bond With Swanky Jerry

Isabell Idibia, daughter of Nollywood actress Annie Idibia and music star 2Baba, has spoken about the relationship between her mother and celebrity stylist Swanky Jerry, dismissing suggestions that their closeness is merely for public appearances.

During an interview on Yanga FM 89.9 Lagos, Isabell said Annie and Swanky Jerry share a genuine friendship that extends beyond social media appearances and red-carpet events.

According to Bush Radio Academy, Isabell explained that the two sometimes communicate through FaceTime and that Swanky Jerry had recently visited their home, although she was asleep at the time and did not get to see him.

She affectionately referred to the celebrity stylist as “Uncle Swanky,” further stressing the closeness she has observed between him and her mother.

When asked about her favourite song from her father’s extensive music catalogue, Isabell picked “Nfanga Ibaga” as the track she particularly enjoys.

Meanwhile, Annie Idibia has also attracted attention following a recent change to a tattoo associated with her former marriage to 2Baba. The actress previously had the word “Idibia” tattooed on her left chest but has since covered it with a butterfly design.

The development came after Annie shared posts suggesting that she was moving forward from her past relationship.

It also followed renewed speculation about a possible reconciliation between Annie and 2Baba after an old video showing the former couple enjoying themselves at a club resurfaced online.

The circulating footage prompted some social media users to speculate that the pair had rekindled their relationship, while others went further to suggest that Annie and 2Baba were expecting another child.

However, Annie later addressed the speculation through her Instagram Story, clarifying that the videos being circulated were old and accusing social media users of spreading false information about their relationship.

Isabell’s latest comments now offer further insight into Annie’s current relationship with Swanky Jerry, as she maintains that their bond is genuine and not simply created for the cameras.
