In an open letter shared on his Instagram page on Tuesday, Nasboi said he feels heartbroken by the circulating videos and reports about 2Baba, noting that he has admired and respected the music icon since his teenage years.
The entertainer praised 2Baba’s humility, calm nature, and long-standing reputation for avoiding public drama, especially regarding personal and family matters.
Nasboi urged the award-winning singer to take charge of the situation and protect the image he has built over the years.
He wrote:
“Dear King 2Face Idibia (2Baba),
I am genuinely heartbroken seeing the embarrassing videos and news about you online. It hurts because you’ve always been my mentor. I’ve looked up to you since I was 16. I loved your music, your personality, and the humility you always showed. You were one of the people who taught me what it means to be humble.
You’ve faced criticism in the past, but your character and humility always stood firm. I never knew you as someone who argued publicly, fought online, or created drama. The 2Face I grew up loving was calm, humble, and carried himself with grace.
I understand that every family has its issues, and you have always handled yours privately. No matter what happened behind closed doors, you never brought it outside.
Sir, whatever personal battles you’re facing now may be normal, but the version of events playing out online is damaging and unfamiliar to those of us who truly love and respect you. What we’re seeing does not reflect the man we’ve always known—and it is painful to watch.
Please, sir… for the sake of people like me who have loved you from a young age… take control of this situation. We still believe in you. We still admire you. We still want to see the 2Baba we grew up respecting.
This message is from someone who has loved you since he was 16. I chose this particular song because suddenly, the lyrics hit differently.
