It Turned Everything Upside Down’ – Liquorose Reveals How Coronavirus Hit Her BBNaija Journey

Nigerian dancer and former Big Brother Naija star, Roseline Omokhoa Afije, popularly known as Liquorose, has opened up about how she nearly missed her chance to join the reality show in 2020.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶

In an interview with VJ Adams, she revealed that she was fully prepared and waiting to be introduced at the launch, but was ultimately barred from entering. The setback left her feeling down and almost made her give up on her BBNaija dreams.

Liquorose and another contestant, Jaypaul, were unable to participate that year after testing positive for COVID-19.

Despite the disappointment, both returned the following year to audition. Liquorose admitted she almost skipped the 2021 audition due to her previous experience, but a friend encouraged her to give it another shot.

She went ahead with the process and later discovered she had been selected. Her perseverance paid off when she competed in Big Brother Naija Season 5 in 2021, finishing as the runner-up, narrowly losing the grand prize to Whitemoney.

Reflecting on the experience, she said, “In 2020, I was backstage at the BBNaija opening show. I was dressed up, makeup done, but I was not called. That really hurt me. That experience stayed with me, so the following year, I didn’t even want to audition, but my friend convinced me to try. I just auditioned and forgot about it. One day, I checked my spam and discovered I had been selected. It was crazy.”
