Sankara was reportedly apprehended by Hisbah operatives while allegedly in an uncompleted building with a married woman. He has strongly denied the accusations, claiming they are fabrications intended to harm his political career.

In light of these serious allegations, Jigawa State Governor Umar Namadi has established a five-member committee to investigate the matter. The committee, chaired by Secretary to the State Government Malam Bala Ibrahim, will also include commissioners for Information and Basic Education, along with the Special Adviser on Security Matters. Malam Ibrahim stated that the allegations have caused significant embarrassment to the government.
