Job Sh*ck: Adamawa Govt Disqualifies Over 44,000 Applicants, Only 4,000 Slots Available
The Adamawa State Civil Service Commission has disqualified 44,099 candidates from its ongoing recruitment process.
Out of the 96,102 total applicants, only 52,003 successfully passed the initial screening phase and are now eligible to move on to the next stage.
Providing an update on the exercise, Governor Ahmadu Fintiri’s Chief Press Secretary, Humwashi Wonosikou, explained that most disqualifications stemmed from failure to meet basic entry requirements.
“Some applicants presented unsuitable qualifications, such as NCE certificates that were not among the listed criteria. Others submitted mismatched academic fields, uploaded incorrect documents, or exceeded the age limit for the available roles,” Wonosikou stated.
He urged the 52,003 shortlisted candidates to fully prepare and comply with the new set of guidelines that will soon be released.
“This process is designed to ensure that only competent and properly qualified individuals are selected to serve the people of Adamawa State,” he emphasized.
