Jude, however, disputes these claims, insisting that his company is not secretive and that each brother has their own private ventures alongside their joint company. For instance, Peter has P-Classic, and Paul operates Rude Boy Record. Jude’s Northside Entertainment has been in operation for 11 years and is not clandestine.
He noted that Peter never approached him for clarification about this so-called secret company before filing the petition with the EFCC. Instead, Peter visited Jude’s home, played with his son, and acted normally, only for Jude to later receive an EFCC summons. This situation nearly drove Jude to the brink.
Jude said, “This guy came to my compound to play with my son knowing fully well he just submitted a petition against me. I almost lost my mind.”
Regarding Paul’s involvement, Jude stated that to defend himself, he had to file a counter-petition against P-Square. He wanted to show the EFCC that the money in his account was equivalent to what Peter and Paul had in theirs, disproving any claims of embezzlement.
Jude explained, “I had to file my own petition against P-Square to ensure the EFCC could see that the funds in my account were matched by what Peter and Paul had in theirs. They were focused on my account, so I needed to demonstrate that they were also receiving their share.”
He added that the EFCC investigation is still ongoing and has been thorough. Jude emphasized that any funds he has received are rightfully his according to their agreed-upon distribution formula.
He elaborated, “If you claim I was taking money that wasn’t mine, remember that the royalties are divided equally among us. When P-Square faced issues, sharing stopped. I advised Paul to stop sharing too, which he did. After P-Square reunited, I reinstated the sharing arrangement, but Paul and Peter have continued to keep their shares to themselves. Despite this, I still find myself facing the EFCC.”
