Addressing the impact of corruption on the lives of the people, Ugorji emphasized its role in perpetuating poverty and undeserved suffering. He called for a multi-faceted approach in the fight against corruption, emphasizing the need for improved working conditions, job creation, youth skill development, and moral enlightenment.

In the context of the Armed Forces Remembrance Day, Ugorji paid tribute to those who sacrificed their lives in wars and armed conflicts, emphasizing the importance of respecting and supporting the families left behind. Turning to the situation in Imo State, Ugorji lamented the recent incidents of bloodletting and kidnapping, expressing concern about the negative impact on the state’s image. He called for an end to the “media war and crusade of calumny,” identifying it as a source of damage to reputations, heightened tensions, and division among politicians. Ugorji urged those involved to prioritize peace for the collective progress and unity of the state.
