During the recent court session, the Prosecution Counsel filed ten charges against Bala Muhammad Inuwa and his son Bala Inuwa Muhammad Junior, relating to the alleged systematic distribution of the N3.2 billion to their associates.

Among the purported recipients of these funds were former Governor Umar Abdullahi Ganduje and the APC National Chairman Foundation, “Ganduje Foundation,” which reportedly received N30 million.

Additionally, one count charge alleges that the accused transferred N68 million, equivalent to $100,000, to an individual named Musbahu Suleiman.

The Prosecution Counsel, Zaharadeen Hamisu Kofar Mata, has presented all necessary charges and supporting evidence before the court, urging the court to proceed with the prosecution.

The Defense Counsel, Professor Nasiru Adamu Aliyu, argued that the prosecution is attempting to move forward with the case without the complete case documentation and called for the case to be dismissed.

In response to whether the charges should be read to the accused parties, Justice Hafsat Sani Yahya stated that the prosecution counsel has provided sufficient evidence to permit the case to proceed.

The Judge then invited the Defense Counsel to present a new bail request. The case has been adjourned until December 6, 2023, for a hearing of the substantive matter.
