On Wednesday, an aide to Mr President, Dele Olusegun disclosed that an indefinite suspension of the Boss of the Anti-Graft agency has been approved.
The intention behind this action is to facilitate a thorough investigation into his actions while serving in the previous administration under President Buhari. It should be noted that Bawa faced controversy alongside former Zamfara state Governor, Matawalle, in relation to corruption-related issues.. CONTINUE READING
In the latest update, Dele Olusegun reported that… “President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, has approved the indefinite suspension from office of Mr. AbdulRasheed Bawa, CON, as the Chairman, of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) to allow for proper investigation into his conduct while in office. This follows weighty allegations of abuse of office leveled against him.”
“Mr Bawa has been directed to immediately hand over the affairs of his office to the Director, Operations in the Commission, who will oversee the affairs of the Office of the Chairman of the Commission pending the conclusion of the investigation”, he added.
Recall Bawa met with President Bola Tinubu at the villa a few days ago……
