Wike, a former governor of Rivers State, made it clear that he remains unfazed by any attempts to tarnish his reputation.
During a meeting with South-South leaders in his Abuja office on Tuesday, Wike stressed the significance of preserving one’s political structure and doing what is right.
He expressed his belief that everyone has a political base, and losing it would result in a loss of political relevance.
The strained relationship between Wike and the Rivers State Governor, Sim Fubara, has reportedly prompted some lawmakers in the Rivers State House of Assembly, who are considered Wike’s supporters, to initiate an impeachment process against Fubara.
