In an interview on Human Rights Radio in Abuja, the minister emphasized that efforts are being made to establish a pension board for personnel within various paramilitary agencies, including.
the Nigerian Immigration Service, Federal Fire Service, Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, and the Nigeria Correctional Service, similar to the arrangements for the military.
Tunji-Ojo stressed that these dedicated paramilitary professionals, due to the hazards associated with their roles, deserve not only salary enhancements but also the establishment of a pension board to secure their futures.
