A Kano Shariah Court at Kofar Kudu has ordered the remand of Nasiru Mukhtar, who is accused of entering a mosque in the Tudunwada area and assaulting the imam while he was leading prayers.

The incident allegedly occurred on October 22, 2024, around 5 a.m. Police stated that Mukhtar entered the mosque, assaulted Imam Malam Murtala Sulaiman by grabbing him by the neck, slapped him, tore his clothing, and stole his microphone. Following the attack, the imam lodged a complaint with the state police command.
