Public Relations Officer Abdullahi Haruna shared these updates with reporters on Thursday, highlighting that criminal activities in Kano have declined due to the continuous efforts of the police and cooperation among various security agencies.

Among those arrested were 81 suspected armed robbers, 16 kidnappers, 56 thieves, 22 drug dealers, and 10 fraudsters. Additional arrests included 14 motorcycle thieves, 153 thugs, 26 mobile phone snatchers, 11 vehicle thieves, three human traffickers, and 882 suspects detained during nationwide protests from August 1 to 10.

Haruna reported that the Command successfully rescued five kidnapping victims and 15 victims of human trafficking. They also seized various weapons, including two AK-47 rifles, one Beretta pistol, two locally made guns, and 47 live ammunition. Other recovered items included solar batteries, sharp knives, cutlasses, and a significant quantity of illegal drugs.

Additionally, the police recovered N241,000 suspected to be counterfeit currency, along with 226 mobile phones and livestock, including 30 cows, 15 sheep, and four donkeys.
