Kebbi Government Launches New Initiative For Youth EmpowermentGovernor Nasir Idris of Kebbi State has initiated the distribution of N70 million to support 700 youths from the state’s 21 Local Government Areas. At the launch of the youth empowerment program held at the Presidential Lodge in Birnin Kebbi on Friday, the governor announced that each selected beneficiary will receive a grant of N100,000.
Represented by his Deputy, Umar Abubakar-Tafida, the governor emphasized that the funds are intended to help recipients start their own businesses, fostering self-sufficiency and creating future employment opportunities. The program aims to ensure equitable access for both males and females, promoting inclusivity.
The governor urged beneficiaries to utilize the grants wisely to transform their lives and assist others in the community. Nura Bala-Fingila, the State Commissioner for Youth and Sports Development, praised Governor Idris for launching this impactful initiative, calling it a “game changer.” He encouraged beneficiaries to make the most of the program to enhance their livelihoods and urged the entire population to support the administration’s policies and initiatives.
