Nandap, who joined the NIS on October 9, 1989, and was appointed as Comptroller-General on March 1, 2024, initially had her tenure set to expire on August 31, 2025. However, with the newly approved extension, she will remain in her position for an additional period.
In a statement released on Monday by the President’s Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, Tinubu praised Nandap for her outstanding leadership and significant progress in areas such as border management, immigration modernization, and national security under her tenure.
The statement emphasized the positive developments in the NIS since Nandap took charge, highlighting improvements in border security, modernization of immigration procedures, and enhanced national security initiatives.
President Tinubu commended Nandap for her commitment to the Service and encouraged her to maintain her focus on strategic priorities aligned with his administration’s Renewed Hope Agenda. He also reiterated his commitment to supporting the NIS in its mission to protect Nigeria’s borders and facilitate safe and legal migration.
