The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) leadership in Kaduna State has strongly condemned the recent abduction of over 280 primary school pupils in Kuriga village, Chikun Local Government. In a statement released on Sunday in Kaduna, Abraham Catoh, the PDP State Publicity Secretary, conveyed the party’s disapproval of the heinous act.

Catoh quoted Mr. Felix Hassan-Hyat, the State Party Chairman, emphasizing the need for the military and other security agencies to confront the criminals directly. The party advocates for a decisive approach to curtail the prevailing insecurity and other criminal activities not only within the state but also beyond its borders.

“The PDP stands firmly behind the State Governor’s commitment to safely return all the pupils to their families at the earliest opportunity. We implore the governor to spare no effort in recovering these children and putting an end to the criminal activities perpetrated by these terrorists, ensuring the safety of citizens’ lives and property,” Catoh declared.
