In a surprising turn of events, North Korean dictator Kim Jong Un was captured on video breaking down in tears as he appealed to thousands of women, urging them to have more children. The emotional plea took place during a National Mothers’ Meeting in Pyongyang on Sunday, December 3.

During the event, Kim Jong Un, visibly moved, used a handkerchief to dab his eyes while addressing the women. He emphasized the duty of preventing a decline in the country’s birth rate and called for active participation in childcare, describing it as a collective responsibility.

“Preventing a decline in birth rates and good childcare are all of our housekeeping duties we need to handle while working with mothers,” Kim stated, encouraging the women to instill the values of his communist party in their children.
