In an interview with Channels TV, Eyiyemi, who portrayed Princess Omowunmi in the acclaimed movie ‘Anikulapo’, revealed her desire to excel in filmmaking beyond her father’s achievements.
Despite the weight of her family’s cinematic heritage, the 18-year-old exuded confidence in her abilities, expressing her belief that she can surpass both her father and grandfather in the field.
“I don’t feel particularly intimidated because I’ve always looked up to my dad. He has always been a guiding light since I was a child. I’ve watched my grandpa’s movies, and I can see the evolution in filmmaking techniques from my father’s era to now,” she remarked.
“I am confident that in the coming years, I will establish myself as a prominent filmmaker and surpass my father’s achievements. With advancements in technology, I believe I can achieve even greater feats.
