Emmanuel appealed for intervention from authorities, alleging mistreatment by their barracks administrator, Superintendent Boniface Izebedi, who reportedly victimizes officers for raising concerns about the unsanitary surroundings. He further claimed that Izebedi often withholds allowances from those who complain.

“We are living without proper ventilation, water, or toilets. Whenever it rains, we mop up water inside our living quarters. The roof is inadequate, and there’s no alternative shelter during rainfall,” Emmanuel stated in the video.

He continued, “Superintendent Izebedi insults us when we bring up these issues and penalizes us by withholding our allowances. We’re accommodated in neglected upper floors. This is the harsh reality we face in Lagos, Ibeju Lekki area.”

When approached for comment, Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer, Mr. Benjamin Hundeyin, declined to respond to the allegations presented in the video.
