Fasehun, represented by his lawyer, Otunba Remi Adeoye, submitted a petition detailing the land dispute and claimed that individuals connected to the Egunaye Family, with the assistance of police officers from Alagbon, are attempting to seize his late father’s estate and have even issued threats against his life.

According to the petition, Fasehun was appointed as the administrator of his father’s estate in 2003.

He had never envisioned that he would find himself in a situation where he had to fight against parties conspiring not only to lay claim to his land inheritance but also to pose a threat to his life.

The alleged land dispute revolves around a piece of land situated at 10 Kudirat Abiola Way, Oregun, Ikeja, Lagos, which his late father, Ebenezer Olawanle Fasehun, purchased from the Egunaye family in 1961 for 100 pounds sterling.

Fasehun’s father subsequently registered the title documents for the land, which also included a survey conducted the same year.

The petition seeks the IGP’s intervention to resolve the land dispute and investigate the alleged involvement of police officers from the Alagbon division in this matter, which has escalated to threats against Fasehun’s life.

The situation underscores the ongoing challenges related to land disputes and land grabbing in Lagos and the need for swift and effective resolution to ensure justice and property rights.
