Two individuals, Okoro, aged 45, and Patience, aged 42, have been apprehended by the Lagos State Police Command for their alleged involvement in ‘one-chance’ robbery in the state. The arrest was made possible by information provided by the public, revealing the duo’s modus operandi. One victim, who had fallen prey to them two weeks prior, identified Okoro and claimed they had taken N37,000 from her.
According to a source cited by Punch, the suspects often lurked around the Olososun Ojota area, posing as transport providers but diverting passengers to undisclosed locations for theft. The incident occurred at 6 am, leading to the arrest of Patience and Okoro based on credible information received from the public. The source stated, “Some suspected thieves are always parking around the Olososun Ojota area in the pretense of taking passengers to their destination but instead take them to an unknown destination and steal from them.”
Lagos police spokesperson Benjamin Hundeyin confirmed the arrest, stating, “The incident has been reported. The suspects will be arraigned at the conclusion of the investigation.
