Eromosele Ebhomele, Chief Press Secretary to the Speaker, emphasized that safeguarding lives and property is a fundamental responsibility of the government. He noted that the recent upsurge in reported killings within the state is a matter of grave concern.

Echoing the sentiments of the assembly members, Speaker Obasa supported the call for immediate action. He stressed the importance of Governor Sanwo-Olu convening a meeting with the leaders of various security agencies in Lagos State to promptly address and curb this disturbing pattern.

The Speaker highlighted the urgency of the situation, referencing recent instances where individuals, suspected to be in either police or army uniforms, were allegedly implicated in the deaths of at least three people.
