The Senate, on the other hand, confirmed Mohammed Abubakar Sadiq as the electoral commissioner for Niger State, rather than Professor Mohammed Yelwa, whose nomination was presented to the upper chamber by President Tinubu last week.
A reliable source from the presidential villa revealed that the commissioner who received Senate confirmation was not the president’s nominee, and Professor Yelwa’s name remained unchanged throughout the process.
