Law Enforcement Questions Primeboy In Response To Mohbad’s Wife’s Formal Complaint....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶

The Lagos State Police Command has disclosed that Ibrahim Owodunni, also known as Primeboy, underwent questioning at the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID), Panti, Yaba, on Tuesday. This interrogation stemmed from a petition filed by Wunmi, the wife of the late singer Ilerioluwa Oladimeji Aloba, widely known as Mohbad.

According to sources, Primeboy, along with Ayobami Fisayo, alias Spending, was apprehended during a planned visit to the SCID. Notably, Primeboy was detained during this visit, while Spending was subsequently released.

A reliable source revealed that both Primeboy and Spending had been required to visit the SCID weekly since the commencement of the investigation into the circumstances surrounding Mohbad’s death.

Benjamin Hundeyin, the State Police Public Relations Officer, stated that Primeboy was questioned regarding alleged defamation of character and other accusations outlined in Wunmi’s petition. He clarified that one of the bail conditions for Primeboy during Mohbad’s case was to sign in at the state CID every Tuesday. The extended duration of Primeboy’s visit on Tuesday was attributed to the investigation into the defamation of character allegation.

Hundeyin affirmed, “After the questioning, I was told that the DC asked him to go. So, the SCID confirmed to me that he had left the place about five minutes ago (6.12pm).”

Contrary to this statement, a source insisted that Primeboy had not left the police facility by 8 pm, as a lawyer named Barrister Emmanuel, who was there to secure his release, reported that the Investigating Police Officer (IPO) had not released him.

Primeboy had been declared wanted by the police on October 4, 2023, and subsequently turned himself in two days later. Witnesses, including Primeboy and Spending, were requested to testify in the coroner court in the Ikorodu area regarding the circumstances of Mohbad’s death. Mohbad, a former signee of Marlian Music, passed away on September 12, 2023, at the age of 27, leading to controversies and investigations into the cause of his death. The police had inaugurated a special investigation team on September 18, 2023, and exhumed Mohbad’s body on September 21, 2023, for autopsy. The case also resulted in the arrest of Naira Marley and Lagos socialite Balogun Eletu, among others.
