Man Reveals Family Drama After Wife Allegedly Refused To Use ₦600k For Sick Daughter

A Nigerian man has shared his experience providing for his family, alleging that his wife was unable to assist financially when their daughter was hospitalised.

According to Bush Radio Academy, the man said he regularly makes efforts to ensure his family is comfortable despite having an unstable income. He explained that he buys shawarma for his wife after work and stocks up on food items in advance because he does not want his family to go hungry when his finances become tight.

However, he said the situation became difficult when their daughter was admitted to the hospital at a time when he did not have enough money readily available to cover the expenses.

The man claimed that while he was waiting for his brother to send him money for the medical bills, his wife had ₦600,000 but was unable to assist him financially.

“I buy shawarma daily for my wife after work. I buy foodstuff ahead because my income isn’t stable and I never want us hungry. My daughter was in the hospital, I had no cash and was waiting for my brother to send money. My wife had ₦600k but couldn’t help,” he said.

His account has sparked discussion about financial responsibilities, mutual support and how couples handle money during emergencies. However, he did not provide further details about the couple’s financial arrangements or the circumstances surrounding his wife’s alleged inability to assist him.
