Machika, a top terrorist bomb expert and the younger brother of notorious terrorist Dogo Gide, was among those killed. Haro and Dan Muhammadu, specialists in kidnapping and assault operations, also faced the consequences of the military strikes.

The Director of Defence Media Operations, Maj.-Gen. Edward Buba, reported that Kachalla Ali Kawaje, a renowned terrorist leader responsible for the abduction of students at the Federal University Gusau, Zamfara, was neutralized in Munya Local Government Area of Niger. The military operation resulted in the demise of many of his foot soldiers.

The statement highlighted the military’s commitment to hunting down prominent terrorist leaders and engaging them wherever they are hiding. Aggressive air flights targeted confirmed locations with the movement of terrorist commanders and their foot soldiers, leading to the killing of over 38 commanders and foot soldiers, with 159 others arrested.

The Defence Headquarters emphasized its determination to continue the fight against terrorists until they are either destroyed or surrender.
