the social register to be utilized in the federal government’s conditional cash transfer program. She is also overseeing the distribution of relief materials to those affected by the Isheri flooding.

Edu arrived in Ogun State on Friday evening and held a meeting with Governor Dapo Abiodun at his office in Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta, the state’s capital.

During a press briefing, the minister expressed her commitment to visit victims of the Isheri flood disaster to alleviate their suffering.

She emphasized that “President Bola Tinubu is deeply concerned about the flooding situation” in Isheri.

The primary purpose of her visit to Ogun is to provide humanitarian assistance and response to those impacted by the flood.

She intends to personally assess the situation, identify victims, and offer them relief materials. Additionally, she is set to approve the Ogun State social register on Saturday, enabling beneficiaries from the state to commence receiving the N25,000 conditional cash transfer.

Furthermore, the ministry is planning to support individuals engaged in the Adire business as part of its efforts to uplift numerous people out of poverty.
