The Minister conveyed this message on Tuesday in Abuja during the inauguration of the Governing Council of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR).
Idris provided reassurance to the citizens, emphasizing the administration’s unwavering dedication to fostering a stronger and more prosperous nation for all.
Addressing the current economic challenges, he characterized the situation as a “temporary pain” that, in his view, would ultimately pave the way for sustainable progress and development.
“I want to assure all Nigerians that the Federal Government is firmly committed to ensuring a better and more prosperous Nigeria for all citizens. Let us rally behind leadership at all levels and uphold the nation’s fundamental values of patriotism, integrity, hard work, love, unity, professionalism, and a culture of excellence,” he remarked.
The Minister encouraged the newly inaugurated NIPR Governing Council to leverage their platform to enhance the country’s positive image, highlighting that a ‘reputation deficit’ remains a significant hurdle in the nation’s progress.
“Reputation stands as a critical pillar in nation-building and plays a pivotal role in the development of any country. The challenges our nation faces today include what could be termed a ‘reputation deficit,’ stemming from misconceptions about Nigeria on the global stage,” he added.
