A Nigerian woman has shared an emotional testimony after welcoming quadruplets at the age of 50, recounting how doctors initially believed she was carrying twins before later discovering that she was expecting four babies.

According to reports, the woman, who got married at the age of 48, revealed that she became pregnant after attending the previous year’s convention of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG).

She explained that during her first scan in September, a doctor told her that he appeared to have detected twins. She said she was excited by the news and considered even one baby a blessing, particularly because she had often been addressed as “Mummy Shola.”

According to her account, she returned to the same hospital about a month later for another scan and met a different doctor, who reportedly told her that he could now see three babies.

However, before her next scheduled scan, the woman experienced bleeding and returned to the hospital for another examination. She said the doctor asked her how many babies he had previously told her were present.

She initially feared that the bleeding could mean she had lost one of the babies. To her surprise, however, the doctor informed her that he could now see four babies.

The woman recalled her shock at the revelation, repeatedly asking whether the doctor meant four babies. She said the discovery left her amazed, especially after she had initially been told she was carrying twins.

She ultimately welcomed quadruplets comprising two boys and two girls at the age of 50. Celebrating the birth, she described the experience as a testimony and expressed gratitude to God for the safe arrival of her four children.

Her story has attracted attention online, with many people celebrating the remarkable journey from getting married at 48 to becoming a mother of quadruplets at 50.
