Police authorities in Lagos State are currently on the lookout for the relatives of a young boy who was discovered wandering the streets of Ikorodu, unable to find his way back home.

According to SP Benjamin Hundeyin, the police spokesperson for the state, the 11-year-old named Ogunrinde was found on Wednesday in Agura, Ikorodu, in a state of distress. He explained that the boy had mentioned being sent on an errand by the wife of his Quranic teacher, but had subsequently lost his way.

Despite concerted efforts by the police to locate the boy’s parents or guardians, no progress has been made thus far.

This situation underscores the importance of community vigilance and support in ensuring the safety and well-being of children, particularly in urban areas where cases of missing children can be distressingly common. Authorities urge anyone with information regarding the boy’s family to come forward and assist in reuniting him with his loved ones.
