Mother Shares How Son Copies Dad’s Discipline Style On His Toy Rabbit
A Nigerian mother has shared a humorous story about how her young son has adopted his father’s method of disciplining him and now uses the same approach on his toy rabbit.
According to the mother, her husband does not believe in physically punishing their son whenever he misbehaves. Instead, he created a designated “Naughty Corner” where the boy is asked to sit and reflect on his actions.
She explained that whenever their son does something wrong, his father calmly instructs him to go to the corner, where he is expected to remain without watching television, playing or moving around until his punishment is over.
The mother said the approach has apparently made a strong impression on their son, who has now begun applying the same disciplinary method to his toy rabbit.
According to her, whenever the toy rabbit “misbehaves” during playtime, the boy sends it to its own corner and makes it serve a similar punishment.
She described the situation as particularly amusing because the child appears to be copying his father’s parenting style while interacting with his toy.
Sharing pictures of the boy and the toy, the mother jokingly said there were now two “offenders” serving separate sentences in the house.
She further joked that the family effectively has two fathers because while her husband is the father of their son, the young boy has assumed a father-like role over his toy rabbit.
The mother concluded that the incident showed how children can closely observe and reproduce the behaviours and disciplinary methods they see from their parents.
