Mourinho Breaks Silence On Vinícius Jr’s Real Madrid Future, Reveals What He Should Do

Real Madrid coach José Mourinho has revealed the advice he gave Brazilian forward Vinícius Jr regarding his future at the Spanish club, urging the winger not to consider leaving the Santiago Bernabéu.

Mourinho disclosed that he personally called Vinícius and questioned where the 25-year-old could go after becoming so accustomed to life at Real Madrid.

According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, who shared the comments on X on Wednesday, August 19, Mourinho told the Brazilian:

“I called Vini Jr and told him: Vini, where do you want to go? You only know Real Madrid.”

The Portuguese manager also warned Vinícius that he might only fully appreciate the stature and significance of Real Madrid after leaving the club.

“When you leave, then you’ll know what Real Madrid is. Don’t go,” Mourinho reportedly said.

He further stressed that moving away from the Spanish giants would not be a worthwhile decision for the winger.

“It’s not worth it!” he added.

Vinícius has developed into one of Real Madrid’s most influential attacking players since arriving at the club.

The Brazilian has played a major role in the team’s recent successes and has established himself as one of the leading forwards in world football.

Amid speculation over his future, Vinícius has now committed himself to Real Madrid after reportedly signing a new six-year contract with the club.
