The trio, representing the core of PDP, LP, and NNPP respectively, have been rumored to be considering a united front, likely in a bid to provide a more formidable opposition to the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), as previously reported.

Deji Adeyanju, never one to hold back his opinions, weighed in on the matter. Responding to a report by THISDAY about the merger discussions, he pointedly mocked the supporters of these parties.

In a candid outburst, Adeyanju stated: “A new set of opposition leaders must emerge to displace the current PDP jesters in this image; if not, the next 8 years will be unforgiving. Atiku and his PDP crew are merely playing their unsuspecting supporters. Come 2027, Tinubu will pull the strings, and they’ll be at each other’s throats again.
