A Nigerian Air Force (NAF) helicopter reportedly crashed in Tami village, located in the Igabi Local Government Area of Kaduna State, on Monday, July 1.
According to villagers, they were startled by a loud noise from the crash site early in the morning. When they arrived, they saw the pilot emerging from the wreckage.
“A team of military officers from the Nigerian Air Force quickly arrived to secure the area and begin an initial investigation. They cordoned off the crash site to prevent unauthorized access and ensure the safety of the villagers. The officers also started preliminary assessments to determine the cause of the crash, which is still unknown,” said a local resident.
The Nigerian Air Force has not yet released an official statement regarding the incident.
