The Nigerian naira maintained stability against the United States dollar at the official foreign exchange market on Sunday, September 14, 2026, with the latest figures showing no change from the previous trading session.

According to Bush Radio Academy, data from the Central Bank of Nigeria indicated that the naira traded at ₦1,326.5192 to one US dollar on Sunday. The rate was unchanged from the ₦1,326.5192 per dollar recorded on Saturday, indicating that the local currency remained steady at the official market.

Meanwhile, developments at the parallel foreign exchange market showed a different rate, with the dollar closing at approximately ₦1,390 on Friday.

However, exchange rates offered by commercial banks, Bureau de Change operators and other authorised foreign exchange dealers may vary from the official reference figures. Such differences are often influenced by transaction margins as well as prevailing demand and supply conditions in the market.

Market participants are expected to continue monitoring foreign exchange inflows, demand for the US dollar and monetary policy measures by the Central Bank of Nigeria for indications of the naira’s direction in the coming days.

The latest figures suggest that the naira has maintained relative stability at the official market, although pressure from dollar demand and developments in the broader foreign exchange market remain key factors that could influence future movements.
