In an effort to enhance its visibility, the National Power Training Institute of Nigeria (NAPTIN) has recently signed a consultancy contract with Explicit Communications Limited. Explicit Communications Ltd secured this contract following a competitive selection process involving various agencies across the country.

Founded in 2009, NAPTIN addresses the training needs of Nigeria’s power sector. It provides training, consultancy, and research solutions through its eight training centers nationwide.

The “Enhancing Vocational Training Delivery for the Power Sector in Nigeria” program, funded by AFD and the EU, includes three main components:
1. **Curriculum Development and Training**: This involves developing curricula, training trainers, forming partnerships with global institutions, and offering internships.
2. **Infrastructure Development**: This includes constructing training workshops, substations, pole yards, labs, hostels, and other facilities at NAPTIN’s Abuja headquarters and regional centers, with features such as solar energy, energy efficiency, and electric vehicles.
3. **Organisational Development**: This encompasses restructuring, planning, marketing, financial strategy, communication, change management, and implementing financial reporting systems.

At the contract signing, NAPTIN’s Director General, Ahmed Bolaji Nagode, praised Explicit Communications Ltd for its professionalism and expressed the importance of this partnership. He emphasized the goal of raising awareness about vocational education in the power sector and aligning with President Tinubu’s focus on human capacity development.

Mr. Olatunde Thani, Group Managing Director of Explicit Communications Ltd, acknowledged the thorough selection process and committed to applying his team’s expertise and dedication to the project.

The Director General also expressed gratitude to the Federal Government of Nigeria, the EU, and AFD for their support in enhancing the visibility of NAPTIN’s initiatives.
