Chairman of the Bwari branch of the NBA, Paul Daudu, conveyed the association’s distress over the deteriorating peace in the region and the consistent threats faced by its residents. In a statement issued on Monday, Daudu highlighted the increasing criminal activities such as armed robbery and kidnapping, emphasizing the negative impact on the well-being of residents and the hindrance of economic activities and social cohesion in the community.

The statement further underscored the significance of Bwari Area Council, home to critical national assets including JAMB, Nigerian Law School Headquarters, and Veritas University. Daudu called upon relevant law enforcement agencies, particularly the Nigerian Police Force, to take swift and decisive actions to restore law and order in Bwari and its environs.

The NBA, also known as Cradle Bar, asserted the paramount importance of the safety of residents, including its members practicing law in the community. Daudu concluded by expressing the association’s inability to continue living with closed eyes in the face of the prevailing insecurity, urging immediate intervention to safeguard the well-being of the populace and protect critical national assets in the area.
