Speaking at The Platform, an event organized by Covenant Nation, Oyedele emphasized that Nigeria itself is not the problem but acknowledged challenges in governance. He expressed confidence that the country’s worst days are over and that progress lies ahead.

“There is nothing wrong with Nigeria. Perhaps, the issue lies with those leading it,” Oyedele remarked. “In the United States, shootings happen daily, but you never hear Americans say, ‘May America never happen to you.’ Let’s change our mindset and say instead, ‘May Nigeria work for me.’”

He further highlighted the importance of recent economic reforms, particularly the removal of fuel subsidies, calling it a bold and necessary decision. “We were living in a facade,” he said. “Two years ago, the naira was officially exchanged at N450, but was that the real rate? Petrol was sold under N200 per litre, but was that the true cost? Now, we’re addressing these realities, and I believe the worst is behind us.”

Oyedele’s remarks call for a shift in perspective, urging Nigerians to focus on solutions and embrace the potential for growth and development.
