Federal Government Launches Portal For Nationwide Recruitment Of Health Fellows (Details And Application Guide

The program is named the National Health Fellows Program and is managed by the Federal Ministry of Health and Social Welfare.

Bayo Onanuga, Special Adviser to President Tinubu on Information and Strategy, announced on Monday that successful applicants will receive remuneration and be provided with necessary tools to drive positive change in the health sector.

The selected fellows will be aged between 25 and 35, and will work across all 774 local government areas in the country.

The application deadline is set for 27th January 2025.

Eligibility Requirements for the Program:

1. Must be between the ages of 25 and 35.
2. Bachelor’s degree (in health-related fields, IT, or social sciences).
3. Demonstrated interest or experience in public health, health-related NGOs, partner organizations, or community projects showcasing leadership and initiative.
4. Must be available for full-time participation in the fellowship program.
5. Must be an indigene of the state applied for.
6. Possess a smartphone with data capabilities (e.g., for platforms like WhatsApp, Zoom).
7. Recommendation from the University Dean, NYSC primary assignment, or a respected organization highlighting character and leadership.
